Old Undeveloped Film: What's in grandma & grandpa's old cameras?

This morning a gentleman from Waupun brought in and old Kodak Graphlex Film Pack.  It prompted this blog update:

Many families and businesses have cameras with partially exposed rolls or sheets of film.  Still others inherit cameras and old photographic equipment.  The temptation is to open them up and look inside DON’T.  It ruins part or all of the film by exposing it to light.  Most film is extremely light sensitive.  Feel free to bring old unprocessed films to Walcott Studio.  We can open most cameras and film holders in the darkroom to determine if there is film inside.   If you have old films, we have an arrangement w/the last remaining company that develops old film.   They process and write the images to disc.  Memories are too precious to waste and often irreplaceable.  Most of the time the processing of old film brings back memories of long forgotten loved ones and events.
